IDA is a market-leading document processing platform designed to transform how organizations analyze and utilize their documents. The latest version leverages large language models (LLMs) to extract actionable insights from unstructured documents, enhancing information retrieval in contexts such as legal discovery processes.

IDA 5.3 introduces the LLM-based “IDA Understanding” module, which eliminates the need for manual screening of large document batches – a traditionally time-consuming, cumbersome task. “IDA Understanding is especially useful when information is not explicitly stated in the document and needs to be inferred from context”, explains Jesper Kleinjohann, CEO of Planet AI “Unlike a chat application, these insights are produced through mass processing and can be integrated into subsequent processes, such as enterprise content management.”. IDA Understanding automatically executes a list of recurring prompts, writing answers in the documents’ metadata. These prompts can include summaries of an entire record or the identification of references to illegal artifacts.

With the new release, Planet AI introduces an LLM-based specialized invoice module. Being layout-agnostic, customers won’t need to train several extraction modules. A fine-tuned LLM reduces the necessary hardware requirements, benefitting smaller and medium-sized customers. They will also appreciate a redesigned desktop client for batch processing, offering new features such as hot folder monitoring and thus lowering initial hurdles.
